Two things line up for Los Angeles EV shoppers this September. The 2025 Polestar 3 is at the end of its model year, with a small number of new units still on our lot in North Hills and Polestar's national programs on it running through the end of the month. And California's incentive landscape has changed a lot in the past year, so the rebates people remember may not be the ones that exist today. Every offer is subject to eligibility and expiration, and financing is always subject to credit approval, so here's how the two levers actually work together at Polestar Los Angeles.

Why Model-Year-End Timing Matters for the Polestar 3

When a model year turns over, the remaining vehicles are a fixed group. Right now that means a limited selection of new 2025 Polestar 3 SUVs. The colors and configurations physically here are the ones available, and once they're gone, that particular build won't come back.
Polestar supports that turnover with national offers through Polestar Financial Services, and those programs currently carry a September 30 expiration. The specific numbers change and we won't quote them in an article. The accurate source is always our new vehicle offers page or a conversation with our team, since the offer that applies to you depends on the exact vehicle and your credit approval.
The 2026 Polestar 4 is a different story. It's the current model year, we have a healthy selection, and it also carries Polestar Financial Services lease and loyalty programs on the same calendar. If you're deciding between the two, our Polestar 3 vs. Polestar 4 comparison is a good starting point.

Reading a Polestar Offer the Right Way

A few things to keep straight when you look at any Polestar program:
  • Lease and finance offers aren't interchangeable. A lease payment and a finance rate answer different questions. Compare like with like.
  • "Clean Vehicle Incentive" from Polestar is a manufacturer discount. Polestar's offers sometimes include a non-cash manufacturer incentive with that name. It's not a government rebate or a tax credit, and it's applied by Polestar, not the state.
  • Loyalty and conquest bonuses have proof requirements. If a program rewards current or former Polestar owners, or owners of certain other brands, expect to document it.
  • Approval isn't guaranteed. Offers are available to qualified customers who meet Polestar Financial Services credit standards. Not everyone will qualify.
Use our payment calculator to sketch a monthly figure, then treat it as an estimate to confirm in person.

California EV Incentives: What Ended and What's Open

This is where a lot of shoppers are working from old information. As of this writing:
  • The state's Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) is closed. It stopped taking applications in November 2023 and hasn't returned.
  • The federal EV tax credits ended. The new-vehicle and used-vehicle credits aren't available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025.
  • MyFirstEV is new. The California Air Resources Board launched this point-of-sale incentive in August 2026 for first-time zero-emission vehicle buyers, on new and used vehicles, while funding lasts. Availability depends on the automaker participating, so ask us whether it applies to a Polestar purchase before you count on it.
  • Income-qualified programs continue. Clean Cars 4 All and the Driving Clean Assistance Program help income-eligible households replace an older gas vehicle. Eligibility, funding, and waitlists vary by region.
  • Utility rebates exist for pre-owned EVs. Southern California Edison and LADWP each list a pre-owned EV rebate for their residential customers, with income-qualified tiers. Which utility bills you decides which program you'd check.
  • Charger rebates. LADWP and SCE also list rebates for home Level 2 charger installation.
Every one of these has its own rules, caps, and funding status, and any of them can change or pause. Don't assume a dollar amount applies to you until you've read the program's current terms. The state's Drive Clean incentive search at driveclean.ca.gov is the best single place to start, and our team can point you toward the programs worth checking for your situation.

How the Two Levers Stack

A Polestar offer reduces what you pay us. A public incentive you qualify for reduces your cost separately, and some are paid to you after the sale rather than at signing. Because they're evaluated independently, a model-year-end purchase can line up with an incentive you're eligible for. That's an opportunity, not a promise, and the difference matters.
One more wrinkle: some incentives are structured around a purchase, others around a lease, and a few utility programs only cover pre-owned vehicles. That's a reason to settle the lease-or-buy question early. Our guide on whether to lease or finance your new Polestar walks through the tradeoffs, and if a pre-owned rebate changes the math for you, our certified pre-owned Polestar 2 inventory is worth a look.

Setting Realistic Expectations

  • Range is an estimate. Any range figure is an EPA-estimated range. Actual range varies with driving style, temperature, load, and terrain.
  • Offers and incentives expire. The version you confirm today is the one that counts.
  • Eligibility is personal. Two shoppers looking at the same car can end up with different numbers based on credit, income, utility territory, and prior EV ownership.
None of that should discourage you. It just means the best result comes from confirming specifics rather than assuming the best case.

See What Actually Applies to You

Model-year-end selection on the 2025 Polestar 3 is limited, and September 30 is the date on the current Polestar programs. Browse new Polestar inventory, start a finance application if you'd like a head start, or visit our finance center page to see how the process works. Then contact Polestar Los Angeles at 8333 Sepulveda Blvd in North Hills to confirm which incentives you may qualify for and set up a test drive.
